The Canvas is made of 100% certified organic cotton, without the use ofpesticides or chemical fertilizers. From 2004 to 2022, VEJA purchasednearly 1191,106 tons of organic and agroecological cotton. Cotton iscultivated in Brazil and Peru by associations that respect people andthe environment, according to fair trade principles. In Brazil, cottonis organic and agroecological. This agriculture enriches the land afterbeing cultivated by improving the diversity of species cultivated andwater retention in the soil. In Peru, farmers grow certified organic andregenerative cotton. They receive support in their certification processand receive technical and financial assistance to improve theirproduction.
